12 Days of Christmas
Production company: Ocean Technologies Group; On-screen credit: Producer / Production Manager; Programme type: Corporate.
Seafarers have been extremely hard hit by the Coronavirus pandemic, some of them having been stuck on board their ships for more than 1 year without knowing when they might be able to see their families again. Various industry bodies came together to lobby for support from international governments and produce a range of materials to lighten seafarers’ mood last Christmas. Part of the campaign was a user generated content video that invited families, friends and supporters to sing along to the "12 Days of Christmas" carol, we then edited the various contributions into a video for use on social media. Part of the creative process and the edit was to develop a "template" where UGC video clips could be dropped in quickly and changed easily, as it is the nature with UGC that most contributions will be received only very near the (tight) deadline. This is a fun video to watch here: https://vimeo.com/492471982
